Nah, to be fair though - I've got to hand it to you on that one mate, it's a top fit right there. Is nice to be able to see the space needed I the down draft unit too.
Mixing the colours look very affective, especially to match in the utility room.

I was in a bit of a quandary about how to access that Downdraft cabinet and keep the look & line of those drawer fronts. The bottom hinges work well and it's not as if it needs to be opened evey day. When I was connecting up that hood, I just unclipped the door.
Again, in my original design, I had more of the wood grain doors but the Client felt in this instance "less was more"
I've recently discovered Button Fix (www.button-fix.com) but available from Ironmongery Direct which may have been an option here. I've only used them once to date, on a simple panel to disguise an underfloor heating manifold, but I'm sure they've got a multitude of uses ... just like Space-Plugs.
