German White Gloss & Woodgrain Kitchen and Utility Room. - snezza - 08-12-2016

I finished this one recently, but only got back there today to take some pictures.

Kitchen is German with White Gloss & Woodgrain doors with full width handles.

Fridge & Freezer are from AEG. Ovens, Ind. Hob, Downdraft hood & Dishwasher are all Siemens.

Sink & Tap are from Blanco.

Worktops are Compac Snow Quartz and have a very subtle brown fleck in them.

The LH Oven is a full size Oven with Microwave, not a Compact.

One shot of the matching Utility Room. The LH wall unit has the Boiler in it. Laminate worktops & upstand in here from Germany with 2mm Acrylic edging.

I'm struggling to find something to moan about. Going to need to come back to this thread later and try harder.

No,.....You dont have to Rob!   It's not obligatory.  Wink2

I cant spot a Bin anywhere so Prem can't moan, albeit the Utility Room was a bit untidy but she had'nt expected me to take any pictures of in there.

Like it.  Icon_super

in typical - must pick a fault when someone posts pics reply - the tall bank needs a fourth light over it, one over each 60cm tall units would give a nicer look.

I wish there was an "Ironic" smilie button, coz I would have pressed that instead of the ROFLMAO.........I agree with you Mitch, coz when I was fitting this kitchen, I ordered & fitted 2 lights above the wall unit & 1 light above the centre of each of the tall units.....when the Client & his wife saw them they said it was too many lights, so could I remove a few of them and configure the lights as you see them in the pictures...!!!!@@@!!!

You just can't win..!!!  Banghead

Well its another quality design and fit, like it a lot.

Went looking for your trade mark Darlek, he must be out of shot somewhere.

The fridge vent catches the eye,  do all siemens stipulate a vent that big?  What CM2 ventilation do they require?

Table top would be nice in that woodgrain to match.

What is the floor, Amtico or wood?

The plinth light's look good, a lot of meterage on this one.

Top Job. ThumbUp

No it really is! Bling

Only thing that looks slightly odd to me is that the drawer packs have a larger drawer at the top. I'm surprised they aren't equal, or have the larger one at the bottom. Or is because they have secret drawers behind?

I did also wonder about the usability of the ovens when taking trays out, but then figured the space to the side of the hob is larger than I first thought, or you'd place to the R/H of the sink. So not an at all really.

It's nice mate

The Fridge & Freezer are both AEG, not Siemens and yes, the MI do stipulate plinth vents of 200sq cm.
The vents were supplied by the German kitchen manufacturer. They possibly would have been less noticeable if they had been supplied in white rather than silver/grey.

The floor is another one of those wood grain ceramic tiles. I reckon this builder has got a job lot of them as they have fitted them on a few of the jobs I've done for them this year.

It took an age to fit those LED ribbon lights. I think there was about 25 linear metres of them. The pictures don't really show them at their best during the day, but the Client said they look good at night.

They do have concealed inner top drawers, yes!

At the initial stages of the design, the peninsula area wasn't quite as big. I felt that by making the area to the left of the Hob slightly wider, it would give the Clints the option of using it to place things straight out of the oven as well as the worktop to the lhs of the oven.

Overall, they are happy with the layout and did make a fair contribution to aspects of the design,.....over cabinet lights not withstanding..... Banghead
