I guarantee ultima use Multiwood for the gloss j profile.  Ultima like a lot of companies are really shite at gloss.

If it was from Ultima then it is likely they are their own doors and not Multiwood. I found this out when I stopped using Ultima and ordered Multiwood from someone else, TBF Ultima's are better.

I'm not sure they are strictly their "own" doors. I assume they buy them in like a huge proportion of kitchen manufacturers do.

I have one small outstanding issue with this particular set of doors. The pair of doors on the curved corner wall unit has one door slightly taller than the other by 2 or 3 mm. I have emailed Ultima on Saturday to tell them about the doors but they haven't even bothered to reply yet......Typical...!!!

I'm not so sure Steve. I had a number of J profile gloss kitchens of Ultima which were always sold to me as Multiwood Welford's. In fact i've got one in my own kitchen.

But then when I moved cab manufacturer I ordered A mutliwood welford from the new supplier and it was different, namely that the plinths were not finished top and bottom smoothly which caused me a problem as I often use them side on as spacers between base oven units and what not where buying end panels would be a waste. They had Multiwood packaging on them and that's why it suggested that Ultima's weren't from Multiwood after all. Although it is entirely possible that in that window of me moving, Multiwood changed their process on plinths?

I haven't done another Multiwood since. The last one being 3 or so years ago.

I did an Ultima j handle kitchen in gloss cream a couple of years ago. I needed to order an extra door for something ( can't remember what it was for now), but when it turned up 3 days later, it arrived directly from Multiwood and in a  Multiwood cardboard box.

They may not be using Multiwoods doors any longer, I don't know for sure, but they certainly used to back then Rob.

Snezza, did you do anything further with rare earth magnets. I have a customer who wants to do the same, I said it was possible but I haven’t tried it. 

Hettich internal fronts are aluminium so not sure if I’d get away with a steel plate inside or have to have a steel plate on the front?

No mate,.....I still haven't got round to trying the Rare Earth Magnets. I can't see any reason why it wouldn't work though as those magnets are really strong for their size. Should be more than man enough to pull open the concealed top drawer....!

I can't speak for Hettich internal drawer fronts as I only use Blum or Grass drawers and they are made of Steel....
