J Handled Kitchen with Lustrolite. - snezza - 04-04-2016

There is also a utility room in the same finish.

That looks smart and crisp Tim ;)

BUT.... What size was the boiler? Surely it didn't fit in the 300mm wall? also why hasn't Blum come up with a longer clip for integral drawers that works with J profiles? Annoys me somewhat I have to say!

RE: J Handled Kitchen with Lustrolite. - snezza - 04-04-2016

No mate, that's not a boiler in the 300 cabinet. It just happens to be where the existing H & C water pipes are coming down the wall to feed the sink. I did my best to hide them in the boxing and behind the false back of the wall unit, but the client is going to replace the section of coving and when he does, he's going to box the visible pipes above the unit at the same time.

I have looked into getting a couple of Rare Earth Magnets and let them into the back of the j handled drawer fronts. They should, according to the specification, be more than strong enough to pull the concealed drawer open at the same time as the larger drawer, but I really want to do a trial run on my display drawer pack first, just to make sure. I just haven't had time to give it a go, so went with the flexible flap.

Is that an option available from Blum then Luke? If so, I will bear it in mind for the next time I find myself in this situation.

Yes they fit standard blum boxes and are avaliable for all models of drawer.

Just buy a pair of required runners and 2 x catch plates that screw under the drawer box.

Costs about £30.00 + vat a box to convert as I just had to do it and knew nothing about it!
