But can I ask what sort of prices you are paying for a sheet? 2.4x1
Going by online prices it seems to work out at about £125sqm, which seems a but pricey to me as I pay £165sqm for glass splash back inc fitting. Ok there are additional costs for each cut out or a CNC set-up charge if I want shapes but it's not huge amount of difference.
Or maybe the sheets are much cheaper trade?
Do lustrolite send out samples so they can be used and abused and see how they stand up to scratching?
The full size sheets are 1220mm X 2440mm. Initially, these were the only sizes available in the UK, but they are now offering smaller size sheets so you can tailor your order to the closest sizes that you actually need for each job. Obviously, this means far less waste.
Off the top of my head, I cant remember the exact size options that they currently offer, but I will see if I can find you a link to the company I buy it from. Hopefully, they will list the sizes of the smaller panels.
Here's the link - http://www.abacusdirectltd.com/main/bran...olite.html
Click on "Download Brochure" to see all the panel options and sizes.
Price wise, I will send you a private message CR, so you can judge for yourself if the prices seem to be reasonable in comparison to glass.
You can get a sample pack from Lustrolite that has 3" square samples in it along with small sections of the joining profiles that are sometimes needed. The profiles were originally only available in anodized alluminium (remember Daniel!!!!.....) but they have since bought out a plastic profile that is a perfect colour match to the various colours of the Lustrolite.
