All of it is a question of taste except the panel to the left of the sink .... I assume it's because there is a dishwasher to the left of the sink

I did post after a nightcap so maybe I was a bit harsh! It's a strange mix of modern and traditional and I'm not sure it works. I'll downgrade the acid comment to weed. Also we don't know how much of it is the customer's ideas that the designer has had to run with.

So I emailed the designer and told her she said nick a panel from another spot that didn't really need one lol.

Simple adjustment could have got another one in on the right of the sink and then it would have looked ok.

I assume it's because there is a dishwasher to the left of the sink I disagree Daniel I prefer the way I've done it. It's symmetrical my way . I have put a panel to the right of the sink but it's behind the front infill so you can't see it. So it goes infill /600dw/panel/600sink/infill. Regards Wrens so called designer I emailed her as soon as I got the drawings and mentioned the no panels next to dw /sink. Yeah she's an idiot but at the end of the day you just have to get over things it's life. It didn't phase me I've been in the trade too long lol. God the crap I've had to put up with over years when I use howdens or magnets lol.

What colour are the cabinets ? The underside of the wall cabs look like woodgrain

Given that the whole kitchen is white, it kinda works. I certainly don't find it offensive. The rest is a little odd though. I'm wondering what the customer specifically asked for? I'm guessing it could well have been the belfast sink and then the designer has tried to add other items bridging old with new... then failing badly. If it was the range cooker, then there are other models with much more clean modern styling. The T&G is just plain odd and doesn't go with anything. Not sure why the dark oak cabs, surely they grin trough the doors? The overhang on the breakfast bar looks tiny, not ideal given the back door but know some people are willing to put up with minor inconveniences to get what they want. Personally I would have gone for door profile fillers but also understand Wren may not do that as it assumes the fitter is capable of mitering the panels, especially as it would just be a return stop mitre. Overall with a few tweeks it could have look good. Thank god it was all white as it could have looked a right dogs dinner if it wasn't. Got to say the acrylic splash backs fooled me. The reflection in them looks very even and not warped like i'd expect from such long runs |
