Gloss white - chippy1970 - 04-06-2015 A few pics of the Wren kitchen I had to fit last week. Only a small one. I fitted the acrylic splash backs yesterday and will be back next week to silicone everything up and finish the job. Oh and fit a glass splashback behind the range, Wren sent a clear glass splashback don't know what they expecting me to do with that lol. The customer has now ordered a proper white glass splashback which should be here next week. RE: Gloss white - Daniel - 04-06-2015 I have to be honest Chippy there are a few strange things with this kitchen ..... did you just fit it and design was from Wren and client ? How dare you! LOL No design nothing to do with me that was all down to Wren. I got involved after it was all ordered about a day before delivery. Their original fitter couldn't do it so the customer got me in direct I don't fit for Wren or anyone for that matter. There's lots of stupid things you cant see like all 3 corners are 800 units rather than 1000 units I would normally fit in corners. I've just made the best of a badly designed poor quality kitchen. The quartz guys were very good though OMG I think they were called. RE: Gloss white - PREM - 04-06-2015 I must admit the t&g panels don't work with the flat streamline look. Think the customer and wren cad guy, ( i can't bring myself to call it designed sorry.) have no imagination at all. Its like they ticked all the things they liked and put them in that small room, a bank of towers, t&g, belfast, quartz, black range and s/s hood??? I can see you are a good fitter chippy, nice paneling and fitting did you cut the acrylic yourself? what blade and saw did you use.? Is the customer a dentist? RE: Gloss white - chippy1970 - 04-06-2015 Thanks Prem, Yeah did the splashbacks yesterday. I've not done acrylic ones before so that was fun lol. I used the tf52 blade that festool do. Set the saw to 2 and I trimmed all the socket holes with a 6mm mdf jig and a bearing guided cutter in my little Makita trimmer. It didn't do me any favours that the walls were wobbly but they turned out ok. Gonna pop back next week to finish off. The panneling came as two panels a 600 and a 900 and I just joined them with my domino. Even howdens do full size back panels I guess Wren don't. RE: Gloss white - Bopster - 04-06-2015 Looks like you did a nice job of a crap design, did the film come off the doors ok? Unlike the one I did couple months ago with the same for. Unlike the one I did couple months ago with the same for. There's a funny story about that film lol. On the doors it shredded but wasn't too bad , the match board panels were worse. Anyway I decided to leave the film on Friday as there were still bits and pieces to do. The customer came home and decided to save me a job and remove the film herself. When she peeled it off near the range she got a static shock. She then rang the electrician sayIng she'd got a shock off the range and thought he'd wired it up wrong lol. I did get a few bolts off the panels whilst cutting with my ts55 RE: Gloss white - Bopster - 04-06-2015 Ha ha ha Bet the sparky had a good laugh also. RE: Gloss white - andy5405 - 04-06-2015 Nice fit but the designer has clearly done acid at some time in the past. |
