After fitting the german stuff all other products feel inferior after
Mereway and crown imperial give it a run for the money but just don't look or feel the same,is hacker 16mm carcass and hardboard back glued and stapled??

yes, it is! Really bizarre fitting these units that have nice dust seals all round, but nasty hardboard backs. Funny how they can get some bits so nice and some so poor. I suppose having a solid back would make international shipping more expensive with the extra weight.

I like how the units come absolutely complete, even with lights fitted if required. You literally unwrap and stand it in place. Plinths come ready cut, cornice comes cut and often joined too. I did a 20 unit kitchen in 3 days by myself, without worktops admmittedly.

superb job, any chance you could give me the contact for the curved panels. If you made them,, was it with the bendy mdf ?

yes, made with bendy mdf. The installation boss took them to get painted, not sure where. The paint itself is supplied with the kitchen so i suspect any adventurous car spray shop could do it.

On a similar theme, my good friend does spraying so i was thinking of getting him to do some door samples with a metal flake effect in it. Would look amazing.

took a long time to get them back in the end. The paint shop forgot to add the hardener to the paint (they assumed the second tub was laquer), and after 3 days it hadnt dried and the mdf had blown. Eventually we got them back, im amazed because in the end they used their own paint match, and its literally the same finish as factory doors. You can see the reflection of the drill box.

Next step for me is try to make my own curved doors, imagine being able to offer literally any shape in any finish.

i call em glory jobs, im not even bothered if i make alot of money at it, a simple wage will do if i get to do glory work all the time because i find glory work always leads to more work because people walk in and say WOW who did that, you dont get that reaction if you build a stud wall.....
