Welcome .... what makes you want to be in the industry out of interest ?

I know some would say it is a tough work with lots of competition. But that can be said about almost every sector. 

I wish I can put some witty line but I have no funny bone in me. So I try to keep my answers to the point and precise
 
The reasons I want to come into this business
1. I am able to squeeze some days to relax/travel in between projects. - true but this can be tricky, buidling work is very difficult to timeline manage.
2. It allows me to start my own business(a dream) without significant investment. - without significant investment you will struggle to get where you want to be.
3. Good earning potential. - true, but its bloody hard work, and quite stressful - being in someones home can be a tricky scenario.
4. When I have software I can learn at home. I hope to find some help on this form. - plenty here
5. The joys of running your own business. And the troubles. - highs and lows of owning your own business can be quite extreme at times.
6. If the business is not successful I can always go and work for a shed for some time. - not the same earning potetial as far as I'm aware.
7. The joy of finishing a project and see the satisfaction on the customer's face. - absolutely.

I am already working full time. This is my side project currently. I am not afraid to jump full time when I get some experience.
