My drawing includes lines of '.'s because the drawing goes out of whack when I preview my posting - so no series of small holes. The only holes in the plate are for four fixing screws - 'O's in the case of my drawing.
However, I didn't know about going through the d/w door from the inside to grab the decor door... will have another look at the plans!

you dont need to recess them, if you look at the dishwasher you should notice that the top of the door (The plastic moulded area) is proud of the lower area.

that is what i am talking about?
assuming its baumatic (same as f/f) the door is assembled as i described above... the top run of the appliance is proud by about 3/4mm which allows for the brackets on the lower half..
