If I was going to be really picky I would say that there's a bit of finishing needed around the ceiling roses on the pendants but that's just cosmetic  

It's nice to get some clean uncluttered pics of a job without all the customers crap on there.

Well spotted, that is on my snagging list. I'm forever cleaning up after my subbies, bloody electricians! He's a good guy actually and you will meet him at the social. He's especially keen to meet you as he's had enough of doing electrics for kitchen fitters and wants to become a kitchen fitter and designer himself.

I fitted these lights yesterday which turned out to be a real pain. The lights are from Uform as they do a lighting range now which is made by the same company that makes the Hafele Loox lighting. The drivers, remote receivers, remote control and all extension cables are from Hafele. Both systems are fully compatible and use identical connectors.

The problem was the mounting screws in each corner of the lights. The front corners were fine but it was impossible to drill a pilot hole on the back corners as the mounting holes are only 8mm from the wall. They need a pilot hole as the screws are really small and I had to use a jewellers screwdriver to get them in. Also they need to go in dead straight or they will stick out of the back of the cabinet.

I remember someone posting a link to a new Bosch 10.8v with a load of different chucks which would have been handy. Or a CXS but I've already bought 2 drills on this job and finances won't stretch to a 3rd right now.

Anyway I've screwed the front and done the backs with good double sided tape. It's a good fix but does anyone think I'm a crasher and basher?

I've also done LED uplights on the graphite cabs and plinth lights on the front of the white peninsular.

The light to the left of the picture and one more that can't be seen in the corner is mounted on an L shaped blanking panel that I had to cut to fill the gap where I haven't used a corner unit. That was fun, I templated it first and then cut slightly oversize and nibbled away with my TSC and jigsaw until it fitted.

No Andy - I don't think that mate - I think you found a good solution to a problem. I tend to just mention to the customer to let me know if they have any issues....
