You'll get a sheen difference between the two surely? which will look naff. How resistant to scratches is this acrylic?

There is supposed to be a short Alluminium spashback fitted first on the wall behind the hob then the Lusrolite panel fitted above it. It sounds to me as though it would look shite TBH, but thats what it says in the fitting instructions. Not too sure about a gas hob, but I imagine that the heat from a direct flame may be too much for the acrylic to stand. I've just finished a set of these splashbacks today. I will post up some pics so everyone can see what they think. CR, Lustrolite measure the degree of toughness in the same way as the hardness of pencil lead.............!!!!!!!!!????????? (Dont ask me why!!!!) The hardness rating for this stuff is 6H. I had quite a few bits to cut today as you will see from the pics shortly. It does cut nice and clean, but I did buy a specific Festool blade that is designed to cut this type of material. Worth every penny, I have to say!!! Snezza.

Snezza,
I've also purchased these clips from one the forum sponsors, LDL. http://www.ldlonline.co.uk/Product/0/3184 I also encountered the same issue with the J handle, and unable to lower the internal drawer to suit. One option I considered, but never actually tried was LDLs extra-strong magnet http://www.ldlonline.co.uk/Product/0/1062 which could be located lower where there is full depth in the drawer front. It's stated this has 6.7kg pull; presumably enough to hold a cutlery drawer. Regards, Simon

What about moving the drawer back 18mm or thickness of clip and fix some material of choice to back of drawer front the put clip into.
Festool.... Cheaper than maffel

I will take a look at that magnet, coz after I posted the pics and this "Clip" was mentioned, I had a quick measure up of the drawer pack the next day in the showroom. Unfortunately, I have'nt got the height between the bottom of the top drawer and the top of the second drawer down to allow me to drop the top drawer (if that makes sense!) The magnet sounds like a good idea. Snezza.
