I don't think a Belfast sink would ever look ok in a gloss, J handled kitchen...

Got to say the acrylic splash backs fooled me. The reflection in them looks very even and not warped like i'd expect from such long runs

Not bad considering I've never fitted acrylic before. Considering the state of the walls I expected them to look buckled or kinked too but I think they look good. I did put extra glue on the low spots and used a long level to bed them this helped.

I know what you mean but to be honest you don't notice it in reality. Well I don't see it but I'm 6ft tall so maybe shorter people might notice. Apparently they paid extra to get the oak effect interior , the Linda Barker range lol can't stand her.

Tbh, unless you design, supply and fit, you often have to work with strange customer requests and wet behind the ears designers.
Of all the points made here by others, I have to agree with all of them and I probably wouldn't have done them that way but if you're presented with a kitchen on site with little or notice, you have to get on and fit it and leave your opinions aside...which you have done Chippy!

The customer is happy, you got the designer out of the shit so it's a win win situation. Well done.... it's a tidy fit!

Cheers Stretch, finished it all up yesterday morning. Just had to silicone everything up and fit a glass splashback behind the range. The customer is over the moon which is always nice. She's glad she used me and didn't have the guy back who fitted her utility.

Regards the silicone I used a fugi set for the first time. I usually laugh at gadgets like these but thought I'd give them a try. Well I can testify they work and work really well. In the past I've used soapy water but it's never perfect and I think I'm ocd so it has to be perfect lol. All the acrylic now has perfectly chamfered silicone beads and looks great.

I use washing up liquid and water and a window packer cut the chamfer I desire.

I was happy with the Belfast sink, it was the T&G end panel that made me apoplectic with rage. Time to log on to getalife.com
