That's what got me thinking. I'm assuming it houses a boiler. If the top door is a 715mm then I would use that for the dishwasher then replace the boiler housing door and in-fill that's blown below.
The advantage is that the door profile and especially door colour would match the bottom units so would look like its always been. And the new doors are stand alone not next to any other units so any difference in J profile or gloss white would be much harder to notice.

Both of you are spot on. Top marks to you. Sadly the top of the boiler housing is around 1050mm tall. That would have worked a treat though. I'm hoping to be able to change at least the worktop and sink in a few years' time, and this will probably wait until then. Looks simple enough to change the bottom board, but will need a new door above, and a new top board above that if there's been a change in colour or i can't get the same thickness. In the meantime, I'll have to place some ornaments strategically in front of the offending corner!

Okay...
Another option to get rid of the water damaged parts would be to run a proper Worktop upstand around the bottom.... the water damage needs to be cut off first then mitre an upstand around the front and side (remove 40/50mm off that front panel first to get a flat surface to bond the upstand to). Upstands are available in most finishes that match the worktop... hopefully that worktop is still currently available, Upstands are sized around 3000x100x20mm thick: Here's an idea of how it will look: |
