fitting door furniture to john lewis integrated fridge freezer JLBIFF1802

Im trying to fit to connect the fridge door to the kitchen furniture on a John Lewis integrated fridge freezer. I believe the F/F is actually made by electrolux. The instruction book is vague and it states that i have to drill into the front door of the freezer to connect two plastic strips that then connect to corresponding plastic connectors on the the inside of the kitchen door. There are no mrkings on the freezer and having the door furniture supported by two plastic strips seems very flimsy, has anyone had a similar problem. does anyone know where i could purchase a more robust set of hinges or brackets for connectring a freezer to a door?

Are the plastic strips just not to open/close the door and the door is attached to the housing unit,in which case put them anywhere on the doors that won't foul the handle screw or buffers??
Or get a fitter to do it for you and eliminate any risk of ruining it??

I had t to do a John Lewis one last year, no markings either. Just steam in, it will be fine.

sounds like these are just the sliders, the kitchen door is hung normally, the fridge door is hinged on the fridge and this slider is just a way of holding both together but allowing them to slide as the have different pivot points.
i have fittted many fridges that ask me toi drill the edge but not the front.
if in deed you do have to drill i expect the screw or plastic push in to be short, and i assume there should be no electrics in a door but check.

Im in the same boat as this chap, Zanussi ZBB 7266 just feels as if there is no support and surley the door would easily just slide of?

Iv followed the instructions in the manual but just doesn't feel right

Or get a man in who knows. DIY without knowledge is called FIUY.

I cant seem to find any local companys who want to fit just one appliance in.

It just seems there should be a support in all four courners of the door just wanted to make sure this is the correct way.

if the appliance and the door both have there own hinges there is no problem, just use the sliders.
