Door replacement - PJK - 04-02-2015 Finished a door replacement yesterday. I do quite a few of these. They're fiddley but at times the final result is quite a change. The befores. adkilled/media/DBCCEBA3-A2D7-45EA-BD36-E447DD9B7513.jpg.html][/URL] There was quite a bit of work in this one. New extractor and ducting, Le Mans, new soft close drawers, int fridge and swapping the hinging of the 300 wall units. As normal with this type of job the units were all pissed and lining things up took quite a bit of doing. For instance the esp on the RHS of the draw run is rebated 5mm from top to bottom to keep the lines running right. Before I started I made the customer aware of the 5 ring gas hob problem!! The customer is doing his own lights. Sorry stretch just looked and the images aren't the right size. I'll try and edit that later. RE: Door replacement - PREM - 04-02-2015 That is a brilliant transformation, always hard to do as you want to change the layout, but can't for budget reasons. I don't think that top will ever look as good as it does in the pic's. Nice one Jon RE: Door replacement - PJK - 04-02-2015 (04-02-2015, 08:16 AM)PREM Wrote: That is a brilliant transformation, always hard to do as you want to change the layout, but can't for budget reasons. Thanks Ray. A lot of ppl don't sant the hassel either. RE: Door replacement - wjskitchens - 04-02-2015 Nice one Pjk allways a pain in the arse there's jobs. RE: Door replacement - allanp - 04-02-2015 Fantastic transformation Jon. Must have been rewarding seeing the final result. I wonder if they wished they had asked for a new kitchen? RE: Door replacement - Daniel - 04-02-2015 That's a pretty impressive turnaround PJ ..... Nice one RE: Door replacement - Colour Republic - 04-02-2015 Makes a massive difference Especially like the introduction of the wide drawer units to bring it up to date. and no doubt it saved the customer a few pennies (just go telling too many people that!) RE: Door replacement - PJK - 04-02-2015 Thanks everyone. I do like door replacements, especially ones where they go for it and have all new appliances. A lot of them are only 2 day fits and so your making all your markup on the most expensive parts of the kitchen without the time scales. I'd love 2 a week every week that's for sure. RE: Door replacement - KOVKID - 04-02-2015 Nice looking job PJK How do the regs work with adding 18mm to each side of the cab above hob? I have done a few door refurbs and yes they are worth doing. I had a replacment door enquiry today where they want a gloss white door on to a oak cab' should be interesting |
