Shaker Painted Alabaster Kitchen.

I finished this one recently.

Kitchen is British with 30mm Star Galaxy granite worktops & 20mm upstands x 50mm high. Range & Extractor hood are Leisure, D/W, Microwave & Frii/Freezer are Siemens. Sink & Tap are from Blanco.

The job involved removal of existing kitchen & old floor tiles, self levelling floor, new LED spotlights in ceiling, replastering some of the walls & ceiling, fully re tiling the floor before the cabinets were fitted with 600 x 600 porcelain tiles.
 
The Boiler position caused me a few issues with the hinging on the cabinet around it due to how close the boiler had been fitted to the window wall....!

The biggest problem with the job was the fact that it was a terrace house with no off road parking, no garage and nowhere to store anything. There was a rear yard at the back of the kitchen but no rear access, so everything had to be taken out and the new stuff all carried through the lounge, dining room into the kitchen....a real PITA    Managed to do all the work on my own except for bringing in the Range and Fridge Freezer.

I like the open elements and the matching of the carcasses with the internal lights on.

Its a nice fit, but it does look dated already.

Like the boiler work around.

Its a decent size for a terraced house,  i avoid terrace jobs, so much harder especially the electrics.  Usually the board is at the front and bringing in new circuits is a pain.

Quality fitting, i hope they were happy with it.

You are correct about the location of the Fuseboard Ray...fortunately, there was no need to run any new circuits.

The original part of the house is really old but the kitchen extension was added when the property was gutted and refurbished 22 years ago when the current owners bought it. (Oak cabinet doors + Green tiles - RAM kitchen)

They are happy with it, which is just as well coz its my older sisters kitchen

It was "in date" when I started the fit Ray....  Due to the lack of storage space and the amount of times I had to come back to the Showroom/Workshop to pick up more stuff, the job seemed to take forever to do    About 15 days all in IIRC and an hour last night to fit the St/steel switches.

Looks good but bolier housing door fitted the wrong way

It was deliberately fitted that way to allow full access to the boiler.......Read my Clints in my original post Maje 

In the 2nd picture down you can see how close the Boiler is to the Left Hand wall and there was not enough room to hinge the door on the left. Even if there had been enough room, the way the Boiler access flap drops forward would have fouled on the door & hinges. 

Also, the Boiler casing has to lift up and then pull straight out for Servicing/Repair so it was not workable to have any kind of obstruction in front of the Boiler....I'm sure you know how awkward Boiler technicians can be if they have ANY KIND of restricted access issues......

The cabinet door is fitted with 180 degree clip-on hinges to allow it to fold right back out of the way, or just un-clipped if needs be.

The lower section of door that sits on the worktop is also on Keku clips to allow it to be moved out of the way for access to the boiler pipework etc....
