And another thing, did you need to adjust your cordless saw to match the anti splinter strip on your existing rail before you used it for the first time?

That's my concern!, the batteries have a 90minute charge time I believe and thats a hell of a long time to wait if I only have one set. Could I get a full days use out of 2x 18v batteries cutting only decor panels? I guess this would the extent of the use really, and then the last morning on a fit cutting the laminate tops, sink and hob? What have you found? Cheers Guys

The new airstream batteries are a 45 minute charge time so make sure if you do get one that the batteries are the new type.
Do you own any other festool 18v tools? Yes. A fully charged set of batteries will last you all day

Do you want to adjust mine then, coz I spoke to the Festool Technical guy months ago who lives near me and he was going to pop in and do it for me but he has been too busy....!

From memory you just slack the 4 torx bolts in the base. Just enough so it will move when you push it. Sit it on the rail, push it up to the splinter guard. Take it off carefully and tighten. Job done.

But if the 2 batteries last the day it shouldn't be a problem, thanks. I had vouchers from festool through the post about a month ago that I threw out thinking I wasnt going to buy anything in 18v, I'm kicking myself now haha

I've got a spare set of vouchers if you need them Craig. Send me a PM with an address to send them to and I'll stick them in the post to you if it would help you out.
