This is a new build again, but directly for the client. This job also had one of those MVHR systems fitted so I have had to recycle the air from the Extractor hood back into the room (the same as the one before Xmas last year)


I've got to go back in the next few days to fit the Extractor Hood when the client gets the boxing all painted. i'll also slide the American Fri/freezer in.

All the appliances are Siemens, sink & tap are Blanco and the worktops are Diresco Premium Cuba Brown. The edges of the doors are finished in a Stainless Steel edge with a very subtle Black line, the handles are Black Gun Metal finish and the Plinths are Gloss Black.

The custom built cabinet around the Boiler/Services was a real tight squeeze as you can see from the pictures. Also, that Boiler is an all electric model......!!!!!!

The fully completed pictures will follow as soon as I can get back over to the job.

It must be amazing standing in the corner with your camera and watching the German cabinets unpacking themselves, moving into position and creating a finished kitchen all on their own!  I am beginning to see the attraction! 

How are you planning to finish the cooker hood?  I'm looking forward to seeing the finished pictures!

Very nice Tim. Certainly a different looking door colour / texture than the 'norm'. 
Like the 4 bins in that top drawer. Does that come as a complete unit, or a set of bins that can be placed inside standard pan drawers?

I got a call today from the Client to say that the boxing has now been decorated and is ready for the Hood to be fitted. I believe they have just painted it to match the ceiling.

I have this kitchen on display in the Showroom & it is a bit of a Marmite display ( some people love it and others hate it). Maybe my pictures don't show it, but there is quite a Brown tone to the doors & panels, hence the choice of a brown worktop.

The bin unit is a standard unit and comes exactly as you see it in the pictures with the 4 bins in the top drawer,mounted on a non-slip mat, and with a hard plastic cover lid for all 4 bins & the lower drawer for extra storage.

I really like the Black drawers with the Black glass sides.  I think it goes well with the Grey Linen carcass colour.

Liking the fit, not so much the concrete door. I think with the lighting it may change the look.

That is nice cutting around the cylinder, not much room for the stretcher plates.

Is that the dust deputy?  or another make adapted.  Is it any good?.

Due to the special height & depth of that cabinet around the cylinder etc, I asked for the unit to be sent as component form panels. The Electric Boiler, Cylinder, Rain Water Harvesting System, all took up far more space than the Client & I had imagined. As I said earlier, it was a tight squeeze to get everything into a 1200wide x 730deep x 2300high cabinet. 
Cutting that lower panel to the shape of the Cylinder was pretty much the first workout for my new cordless Festool jigsaw after my 13 year old Milwaukee blew up the other week.

The Cyclone is a Dust Commander DLX. About £37 off Ebay. Currently, its mounted to a plywood dropbox that I knocked up quickly and it all fits inside a Sys 4. 50mm non Anti Static hose from the CT to the Cyclone, then 36mm Anti Static hose to the tool.  It works really well and captures pretty much all the sawdust, except for the fact that it does store Static Electricity. After using it to cut & trim a load of the MFC panels and the MDF for the Ceiling Boxing, each time I walked past it mounted on top of my CT Extractor, I could feel the very small amount of hair left on my head start to stand up !!!!! .........   

It did get me thinking about that Oneida Systems Cyclone & Dropbox that you & I looked at Ray, back at the W14 Exhibition in Birmingham. I think its imported from the US into the UK by Toolovation...????  BUT, the complete thing to mount on top of the CT Extractor is £250 inc Vat. It is made of electrically conductive parts though, so my hair would be safe for a little while longer.....

Is that banding on the packaging? I always worry when I see it as I think that it can potentially damage the edges of the units as sometimes people use them as carrying handles... 
Maybe there is a good hard cardboard corner to avoid this?

Yes, hopefully the kitchen has ended up looking something like my renders. The Client is very happy with the colour & finish. When they first walked into the Showroom, they had been to loads of other Showrooms in the area but couldnt find what they were looking for. He said that they didnt know what they wanted but would know it when they saw it. This was what they liked. When I posted the renders up on here originally, I was struggling to find the Concrete colour/Texture for Articad. 

It is banding around the packaging, but I NEVER trust it to carry any of the units/panels by. The banding is'nt really that tight and I've not had any damage issues with it. The Germans do use a good quality cardboard for the packaging (if there is such a thing). Any cabinets that have the drawers in them are bloody heavy as those Blum Legrabox  & Legrabox Free drawer boxes feel heavier than the TandemBox. The 2 Oven housings and Hob base spring to mind.
