Daz, the little box refuses to be ticked so i can't select a texture. Had this working before but went back to normal settings in config file. Maybe i have done something in the config file? will load a fresh articad in vmware and test the config file.

It sounds like something is amiss. I always save a copy of the original so if something goes wrong its easy to replace..

Yes got it working now, it was the config file.

I just remembered that i downloaded your stainless steel texture (many thanks btw it is stunning, i use it often) i'll find the redsdk line in your mat file and that could be a way round it if i can't get the windows open file dialog to pop up.

Yes got it working now, it was the config file.

What was it you changed bud?

I am using Windows 7... I do not think the OS will affect this tweak. Check the config is correct.

Glad the S/Steel material is to your liking Chris...

If I have not mentioned before that once this option using RGB values and textures that most materials the RGB value should be greyscale only (Black (RGB 0, 0, 0) = no reflection, White (255,255,255) =max reflection).
Metals should have very little, if any, Diffuse value and as the colour is all in the reflection like light yellow for Gold etc...
