Kitchen with Ceiling Hood.

I finished this one before Xmas, but only just managed to get back there to take the photos yesterday.

As you can see from the photos, this was the job that had an MVHR system fitted in the new build property. The fact that I was not allowed to duct out the cooker hood created a few issues. The decision was reached to recycle the air/fumes from the hood and blow the air back into the room via twin 6" vents at each end of the dropped down boxing.
 You can see both of the vents in the pictures.

The kitchen itself was German with Integra handles and the main part of the kitchen is in Magnolia Gloss and the Island doors & Panels are a darker shade (although its not easy to tell from my pictures...!!!!!)

All the appliances are Siemens apart from the Ceiling Hood which is a Luxair Anzi with remote control.
Sink is by Blanco. Worktops were Angolan Black Granite.

   

   

   

   

   

   

   

   

   

Just in case anyone was wondering, the orange cables hanging down from the ceiling are audio cables, as the client is going to be fitting his own house-wide speaker system.

Nice Tim,  did you split the ducting in two or sealed the ceiling space to vent through the grills.

Lovely kitchen and the customers still have two Darlek bins.

I thought you liked the R2D2 type bins...!!!!???? 

Yes, I split the ducting with a 150mm Dia. T piece and then ran it in both directions Left & Right. 

 I was concerned that if I only had a single outlet vent, that the air would not be able to escape in any adequate volume.

 That Cooker Hood can suck/move 1200 Cu.Mtrs of air/Hour at full speed, so the twin outlets were a must.

 Yes, that is the Client and one of her friends. They are very happy with the finished job so I bloody hope I get a few recommends  CL...!!!!!

I certainly put some late hours in on this job to ensure that it was all finished by the time they moved in. I was there until gone 10pm on the Wednesday night waiting for the Granite to turn up & be fitted (they managed to break the Sink section whilst loading it onto the van and had to remake it) then back at 7 am on the Thursday morning to drop the Hob in and get it connected. They then moved in on the Friday.

So is that a recirculating hood with the clean air coming out either end of the lovely looking floating box youve made?

Well, .....as clean as it possibly can be after passing through those aluminium filters and a charcoal filter.

I really don't like fitting ANY hood in recirculating mode, but I had no real other option in these circumstances.
