Can you post a picture of how the rear of the front fascia on the Oven meets the tall vertical handles on either side?

I had a similar scenario on a job I fitted recently and I just wondered how Crown addressed the problem.
I assume there is some sort of infill to make up the void between the Oven and the depth of the rebated handle?

If so, did you then fix into/through the infill to fix the Oven in place?

Snez thats funny you ask that question actually as over the summer, after years of fitting this type of recessed grooved kitchen and my fitters constantly complaining that trying to screw the ovens into the steel grooves was really quite difficult, I decided enough was enough and I needed an explanation from the factory as to why they had designed a kitchen system that could not take ovens properly ...... I got a swift reply outlining we needed to use the stainless steel infill strips that neatly fit behind the oven fascia and secure to the carcass allowing the oven to be secured properly - 'Oh' I said .... 'always wondered what those stainless steel trim thingy's were that we use to always throw away at the end of every job'

My German supplier sent 6 metal solid shaped St/Steel bars that match the curve of the Linear handle and fit tight between that and the oven. You then have to drill right through it AND the Linear handle and put a longer screw through the lot. Swarf flying about everywhere....!!!! Joy..!!!

I think without those infills, the Ovens look as there is an unsightly gap! Hence, the reason why I asked how Crown solved the problem.

Am I right in assuming that the wall cabinet doors are higher than the cabinet giving an overhang at the bottom to allow them to be opened . How much is that overhang ?

Also, just to say Evo, I think you've done a great job.
I know many of us have fitted scores of kitchens in the time it's taken you to do yours but that's the way it was always going to happen. The end results look good and you should be proud.

We wondered exactly the same, and ended up creating and infill around the shelf. Don't think we had any of these metal infills you speak of :/ Similar problem with the microwave.

there were a few 'doh' moments like when we had put the talks together and couldn't figure out why we had 2 slightly deeper carcasses left over. Realised they were for the ends where we had no handle!

The other one being when we realised that the handle clips can also be used in the vertical channels

Off the top of my head, the doors are full height, there is an edge to the bottom of the unit with a recess in it. The Stretch posted should show this

Thanks all, I'll post a few more photos when I get them off the camera and when the sparks have been to wire in the lights etc.
We're both very happy, and just need to finish off the touch ups, plumbing etc.

The reason we didn't use the last wall unit was because we decided against going over the soil pipe. 3 of them would have stuck out too much

Now I see how the Crown system works.

It is different to the system that my supplier uses. The shape of the Crown handles on the tall units are double skinned by the looks of those pictures, which would enable you to fix into them with the oven screws.

I can only assume that Daniel uses the same system as me, coz the shape of my profiles are a single extrusion (not hollow) and there is a deeper finger rebate than the Crown system. The downside to this is the fact that there is a larger void behind the oven fascia and nowhere to fix the oven into. If I try to fix the oven normally (at a very slight angle)with the black screws, then the screws would be visible when viewed from the outside.

That's the reason I phoned you a few weeks ago when I was doing that Fit. I couldn't work it out, and then I found the solid bars that act as the infill to fill the void.

No problem I looked and looked for a bigger one, but they were all the louvre style ones which look crap in my opinion.

We didn't want a white one either, would have looked naff so went for a metal one to match all the appliances. There's actually one at the back of the unit under the microwave to give it the required ventilation as its supposed to be an oven housing microwave.
