Now I thought I put plans up of this one when I was designing it but I can't seem to find them anywhere.. maybe I just though about doing it.

Been done a little while now but only just got some pics. Need to really go back and get some better ones but they will do for now.

Just designed and supplied this one, didn't fit it and to be honest i'm a little disappointed with how their fitter tackled a few things. Namely the magic corner to the r/h side. I wasn't keen on using a magic corner with an in-frame kitchen anyway but the client wanted it so in the end we settled for a le-mans to the left of the oven and a magic corner to the right.

The door for the r/h magic corner came supplied loose but with hinges fitted, the fitter for reasons unknown decided to hang the door upside down from how it was designed and so the butt hinges (decorative on that particular door) are on the wrong side. Also he decided to put the handle in the middle and so it fouled the dishwasher to the right and has come off.

It looks nice anyway and the home owners are pleased but just slightly disappointing that it could have been better.

BTW the fridge is under the microwave and warming drawer, freezer in the utility

Is the worktop real Carrara (looks it) or Quartz copy ?

I'm doing a couple of jobs at the moment with quartz copies, been told by my fabricator that Compac Carrara is one of the best - we shall see in a few weeks

It was actually a lot harder to design than it looks as had a few pillars to contend with and also the building is nearly 180 years old so a lot of things were out of square. Saying it was a tight fit is an understatement.

In hindsight when the home owner insisted on at least one magic corner, I should have put that on the l/h side and the le-mans on the r/h side next to the dishwasher so when the fitter decides to move handles on the magic corner it wouldn't have mattered. The HO's haven't asked but I think i'm going to re-order that door and make some adjustments to the corner fillet so it all works again. I knew it was tight and it does work, but maybe I shouldn't leave a third party fitter with such little room for error when you don't know what they're like.

With regards to the worktop. They were given samples of both quartz and marble and of course the implications with regards to care and staining were explained but they wanted the real thing so marble it was.

I 'swallow' a lot of costs like that just so that the end product is completed properely.

One of the Clints whom I'm fitting faux carrara quartz for said to me yesterday he was so happy they chose the quartz option as his wife does not want to worry about spilling wine and lemon juice over their new tops ...... now wheres that quartz waiver form again
