Hello

Please does anyone know of worktops and splashbacks that match with splashbacks that are at least 2 meters high. I have considered stainless steel but not sure if the seams really show and also know it could look really industrial and cold. I also had Axiom that was in large sheets but the joins were terrible. (Im sure that the fitting could have been better but worried in case it is a disappointing look)

Thanks Julie

I believe you can get Laminate splashbacks that high from some of the Laminate worktop suppliers/manufacturers.

I generally use Duropal for the majority of my laminate needs, and I think their upstand sheets are 9mm thick and in various widths and heights.

This was a job I did last year, these were Duropal upstands X 9mm thick, in sheets of 2400mm x 600mm.

All the upstands were cut, jointed and edged on-site.

These came from IDS (International Decorative Surfaces).

Think duropal do 2000 x 1300. so if its a top without grain or lateral pattern you would get away with it being on the 2000 length instead of the 1300.

Axiom and other's do 1210 high.
FESTOOL CHEAPER THAN mafell and Doesn't look like an Aldi special.LOL

I contacted Duropal supplier but was told I could not get matching. I will try again with co near me and see what I can source.

Thank you for the help much appreciated

Are you trying to match an existing top that is fitted?

No it will all be new but I really want the worktop and splashback to match exactly.

Thanks Julie

Yes I really want them to match as I don't like different (have looked at this option but was not happy with the effect) 2m is the height behind my range cooker up to the top of the units that I will be having fitted. I did the same thing in a house years ago and it looked amazing. Sadly the company I used them have ceased trading.

Thanks Julie

You can rebate the laminate sheets and join together, I've had to do this in the past whe using the 2440 x 600 splashbacks.

It's not easy to do in situ and make flush but it has been done.
