Those LED multi coloured lights really set it off mate.

You say the colour is Alabaster, its difficult to tell from the photos, but is it off White or more of a Cream colour?

I'm in the middle of quoting for a similar coloured kitchen at the moment. The customer is undecided between white gloss or Cream gloss, this may be the ideal compromise!

Also, in the other set of photos, what was the procedure for the supply and fit of the glass tops? How thick was it? How durable? Rough cost ( if its not a cheeky question!)

Got another job I,m quoting at the moment and he has asked for a price for Glass tops. I,ve never done a job with Glass tops before, so just wanted to know the pro's and cons.

Hi Snezza,
Alabaster sits somewhere between white and cream, if anything I’d say it’s a subtle cream. From my experience if I put white, alabaster and cream out as a choice, the customers seem to opt for alabaster.

Glass tops are pretty straight forward. The same as you would for stone tops. The glazer does a digitisation from the template and the cnc does the rest. I normally opt for 19mm as they not only look better than 12mm but are substantially stronger. These particular tops had a sandblasted surface which massively reduces the likelihood of scratching. I also had them treated with Ritec which offers additional protection from staining etc.

I was very suprised at the cost differance in glass tops when i priced them up. Are they low iron glass?

They are low iron, the sand blasting kinda defeats the purpose though.

Are you sure? I thought you said the back paint was 'Snow White'? but you can see quite a bit of green cast when looking at the edge of the worktop which would mean it's not low-iron glass. The sandblasting shouldn't make a difference to the colour. Maybe it's just the picture and the glass is a lot clearer when viewed in the flesh (colour wise I mean)
