Its been a while

as title says, been a long time since I showed off any of my work here

so here goes with a couple of recent ones ..

This is a Second Nature Remo alabaster with corian worktops








And this a Second nature Fenton Graphite with glass tops

lovely kitchens, especially the first with the framing in above.

don't like the duck egg glass, but i don't like glass as a top full stop, think it is a fad until they can one that doesn't scratch. they do look effective with leds in them.

Just a couple of questions, in the last photo, there is something on the under side of the wall units. It looks like LED lights with a cable strung between them? If so, why are they set so far back to the wall?

Also, in the second photo, there looks like wall units on the sink run that are up and over bi-fold. The one that is nearer the camera, how did you get over the problem of it hitting the lowered ceiling when it was open?

the lights are only temp fixed until the glass splashback is ready, once the glass is on the will be fixed more centrally. (the cable has been left un fixed until the glass is on)

the bi-fold mechanisims have a height stop adjustment, so they have been set to stop about 10mm from the lowered ceiling section.

the glass is actually snow white with a sand blasted surface, but the thickness of the glass does make them look blueish..


I had these tops ritec treated, this should prevent staining and help reduce sctratching although this is why the customer opted for the blasted surface as its more resistant to scratching

I have come across that problem with the up and over bi-folds myself on a couple of occasions. I,m assuming they are the Blum Aventis System of hinges. I,ve fitted the height adjuster stops on these hinges as well, but I,ve always felt it rather restricts the access to the cabinet. Needs must though, eh mate!
