Hi guys, I wonder if you can help me.
As the subject states, im hanging some wall units on plasterboard walls. Im concerned about the weight of these units and whether a couple of heavy duty plasterboard fixings will do the job or will they just be ripped out of the wall once the unit is underload?
I read somewhere that you can buy a metal strip which fixes to your battens so you can spread the weight of the unit, but b&q, screwfix and howdens were all useless in supplying that. I found a cabinet hanging rail at woodfit but they want £30 for a 3m length and I only need 1m.
So how do you do yours? Do you use a metal strip, piece of plywood, sticky-back plastic?? Advice welcome.
Help me kitchenfitter guys, youre my only hope! ;-)
