I've been informed today that Matt has had some computer problems and he's had to get a new one. Unfortunately Matt's suffered the same thing all us oldies suffer from and he can't remember his password. He's working on it but he sends his apologies in the meantime.

If you could help him out Stretch it would be nice as I think its great that he's become a member of the forum.

Well ordered some handles today from Ecf no stock yet again I asked the telesales staff when the online portal will be going live its some thing we are working on but it's not going to be this year.stocks on the slow boat from China again  10 weeks minimum.


No wonder I use ldl for most of my stock now.

Sorry to read this WJS, I'm afraid I'm unable to do much with this being out of date by 6 months due to my pc and memory issues!

Thanks to PJK for updating you all with my issues.

It's been a hectic few months, both professionally and personally, the end of last year was the worst year I have had, ever.

Anyway onward and upwards and into 2017 like a lion, whats new at ECF?

1) Not online ordering, yet.

2) HOXTON timber doors in both standard sizes and MTO/PTO ranges are having a blast!!! Never have I seen such a successful product launch from last year, its proving to be immensely popular and (dare I say it) a good alternative to the market's most recent default choice for doors.

3) VOLANTE sliding doors continue to be incredibly successful, if you are into bedrooms and don't know, just ask!

4) Any of you want complete kitchens, rigid in construction, delivered to site in awesome decors and styles? then go to our microsite www.gaddesbykitchens.co.uk and take a look, more ranges are to be added in the coming months and we have COLOGNE & WARSAW shakers as well as what you will see on this site.

5) We open our new production plant in a couple of months, ze Germans are coming over soon to begin the final stages of set up now extraction is just about finished. this means way more production capacity so exciting stuff happening there too, none that I can talk about if I wish to remain employed!

6) I've waved goodbye to 2 TSM's since then too, Rick Gurney left in January and Nigel Taylor has just handed in his notice and as he is competitor bound (no, not telling so don't ask!) he's gone on immediate garden leave and I'm covering his patch. I'm looking to replace Nigel who covered Lancs, Cumbria and the North East so if you know a good salesman who is looking for a change, give him my details please.

I'm sure there's more but I've got a sore eye (the left one in my head, probably pinkeye) so I'm struggling to keep looking at this screen so; I will do my best to hang on to this laptop for a long time and remember my new login details, thanks Stretch!

To be honest matt I've given up with Ecf I've got a few Blown doors to sort out when I get time but I'm now marketing other products that i can know I can get.

Now your back on the forum matt are there plans to have a online portal or knot as this would help us all.

I may be naive about all this online portal lark (still ordering using a fax machine!) but I just don't get it. Your customer likes say a handle and order it from you for their kitchen. You can either order it on a portal that tells you the current stock level or you order it via email/fax to be told it's out of stock. Which surely is the same thing minus one day. It's still the handle the customer chose and loosing a day and having to go back to the customer with more samples is exactly the same wether you ordered it on a portal or if (your an open fuddy duddy like me) you faxed it. 

Am I wrong?

Oh and don't get me going on the blown door (as you put it) thing. I've used many suppliers for
Vinyls and at least they give a proper guarantee. Who else offers a 10 year one?
