yeah i thought the same when i took the pic so tried it and there is plenty of room.

i built a stud wall and screwed straight to that.

I see - so it looks like a wall from the other side and not just a bit of MDF - good work.

It's a great idea! I presume the door viewed from the other side is just MDF though?

it is all stud work on other side still but am thinking of cladding in mdf with pigeon hole etc with lights in

can you not diguise the gap to the wall then it will be brilliant it would be impossible to tell

yeah i have got all the trimming up to do yet to make it more invisable. it has to finish that short of the wall because is only has 10mm clearance to the radiator

normaly cleanest easiest on the back but not in your case
