matt probably easier with the problems you can get with hairy mdf

i'm going to make sure that there is no problems with hairy mdy because i have bought a heavier weight mdf that finishes better and i have sanded everything for hours then i am going to prime it up and sand it some more then prime again sand again then send it to be sprayed where they will sand it between every coat anyway.
i was thinking of high gloss black and then the back panel something different but dont know what yet

ok youve used hdf
very difficult to suggest a second colour withought knowing the primary colour/finnish my thoughts go to bold primary like red silver or dark orange need to know the feel of the room as well

nah its mdf. just not the ultralight/caberlight stuff that everyone seems to sell now.
after a chat with stretch im going to paint it white and use colour LED's to back light it. it is a perminent feture of the room so i dont want it to look dated quickly

hows the wall behind it decorated!!!

White is probably best. I would reckon that much electronics in one place would create a magnet for dust.Dust and dark colours, not good. It looks fantastic by the way, so much for K fitters all being failed joiners. D

needs to be a noticable shade different to the wall but obviously whilst fitting in
pointless going to all that trouble if it dissapears into the background |
