With hindsight Steve, you may well be right, but as I said, the boxing was an afterthought really. I had to work around what was there.

The MDF is fitted from the ceiling down to the top of the wall units. The 2 plant on panels either side of the hood were fitted afterwards and just notched out around the MDF. The Cornice was cut down in front to back depth to accommodate the boxing which had to be the depth it was due to the depth of the Hood Chimney!

One of our New Year resolutions is to start taking better quality pictures of the completely finished jobs. More like the sort of thing that Colour republic has just posted over on his thread.

It really does hi-light the jobs and shows them at their best. Designer Paddy is getting a good camera from Santa this year, so I'm hoping for good photos from him.

Your right Snezza, Ive just upgraded my camera. Still not a great one but hopefully it will take some nice pictures.

A good camera is only part of it though. I bought a nice DSLR a few years ago in the hope that I could get some better pictures, particularly of bathrooms, where it's difficult to get enough into the shot. But, whilst I know what a lot of the functions do, I have absolutely ZERO photography skill which means my photos are still a bit shit.

yeah was gonna say that but didnt. I fitted a floor for my mate whos wife is a pro photographer last year. In return she was going to come on a couple of my jobs and take pictures for me but never got round to it. Shes preggers now with another little one so instead of getting her out to my kitchens ill pop round there one evening and get some good tips on what works and why

For bathrooms stand up high and put the camera above your head in the corner where the wall meets the ceiling, then angle the camera down. You'll find you can get much more in the shot

Top fit mate, when you said a int tumble dry I went looking for the visible vent in the plinth line but couldn't see one. Is there a Siemens TD without the vent in the plinth? Or am I missing it with my bad eyesight.

No Mate, your eyesight hasn't let you down just yet!

It is the last appliance at the RHS of the sink run. I didn't post up any pictures of that end as I always feel the vent in the plinth line looks awful.

I have hunted high and low for an affordable T/D that doesn't have or need the cut-out in the plinth, but have yet to find one.
