Handle-less Kitchen!

Obvious when you think about it isnt it. Ive been doing them the same way as you so far. I also fit a lot of thes handless kitchens at the moment.

Like the idea of mitring the corner posts. Would make the j handle look better meeting in the corner. Let us know how you get on with it.

720 high corner instead of 900 like the rest so it doesn't hit the coving ;)

Some ranges do an internal and external corner fillet. Fitting a handless white gloss as I type but sadly got to make up the corner filler for the one, going to attempt to mitre it so the j goes all the way to the back... Lets hope the ts50 doesn't slip!

I,ve got one to fit in my showroom in the next couple of weeks with a similar corner post. Planning on giving it a try then. I'm sure it will look a lot better than butting up

I take it you are still using them Steve?

Personally, I am still having "Issues" with them over a number of things. I've been wating 5 weeks for 2 replacement doors that were in their own painted range. One had a fingerprint in it where someone had picked it up whilst the paint was wet and the other had a spec of dust in it that someone had picked off then wrapped up and sent it out to me.

"Our" rep totally forgot about the replacement doors and doesnt seem to give a s h i t!!!!!!

Also, my mate forgot to order the corner base unit with a Le-mans in it. It's taken 2 weeks for them to get it sent to me from PWS......

Got to go back at the end of the week to power up the Electric U/Floor heating that I've put in. Will post more then.

Just noticed that... How long ago did you lay the floor?

You do know you need to wait 28 days then slowly bring up the temp 1 or 2 degrees a day? Or you'll risk thermal shock to the addy and it could debond

It was a bit dissapointing that the curved wall unit was not available in 900mm height. But the client is happy enough with it

Yes mate, I do know about the delay required before turning on the U/F heating. But, I started this job nearly 5 weeks ago and nearly 4 weeks since I laid the floor and Tiled it. I've fitted loads of the "WarmUp" UF heating over the past few years and tried a few other systems as well, but I still think Warm-Up is the best

I put up the new ceiling and plastered it then fitted 12 Halers(LED's).

Yeah I still use them and personally dont really have any problems with them. I supply a lot less kitchens than you though. If you miss something of the order or an Ultima made door is damaged there re delivery time isnt too good but we know their re delivery time when we decided to buy a kitchen from them.
For me I think they are great kitchens especially for the money. If I wasnt supplying Ultima Id probably still be supplying Benchmarx and really there is no comparison as far as quality goes. Saying that Benchmarx re delivery times are better but the should be as they dont make the kitchen for the customer like Ultima
I have only fitted a couple of German kitchens in my time, both hacker, ( we wont count Homebase as German) and personally I think Ultimas units are better and the doors are much the same, both nice quality. I dont imagine Hacker are high end German kitchens but they have a good name as far as I know.

I think where I havent got a showroom the customers I get are mainly looking for a decent mid range kitchen. Most would be happy with cook and lewis or Wickes etc so when I come along with an Ultima kitchen they are chuffed as they are a lot better than any high street diy store. Thinking bout it they are also better than nearly all the kitchen showrooms round my way as well. There is only one showroom round my way selling German kitchens, the rest sell nice mid range but imo not as nice as Ultima

I like Warm-Up as well, plenty of others on the market, a lot cheaper too but at least with warm-up you know who you're dealing with when it comes to after sales and it's helps they have one of the nicest controllers in the 3iE.

The worktop and floor tiles don't look as nice in the pictures as I know they do in the flesh, never seem to photograph that well. Although I have to say i'm not a fan of the wall tiles, maybe the should have had one less appliance and spent the money of full mosaic. it's a very modern kitcehn with clean lines which for me is sadly broken up by the wall tiles in a traditional format. Oh well each to their own
