A good point Marc. But even if you decide to house the washing maching/dishwasher, a standard 595 door will look crap, as you will need at least some space for the hinges, and a bit on the other side. So wont fit!

washing machines and D/Washers are easy to do 2x300 doors with a 50mm filler attached to one of them or you go to 2x400 doors and have enugh room to put the washing powders and sh*t behind the doors also! of course this all needs 650mm worktops minmum to work correctly!

Ive tried it with 2 x 300 doors, but no filler attached. The customer was very particular about everything and would not tolerate fillers. I know there is nothing wrong with fillers if done correctly but there was no telling her this. Anyway, I struggled to close the gap, so it was left about 5mm once hinges adjusted to their max. On the other hand, Ive just fitted a corner unit, with 2 300 doors and a filler and she was fine with it! I found that 650 was a really tight squeeze, considering overhang aswell. Think I needed an extra 5mm, as the cupboard doors were fouling the washing machine door. It was doing my head, trying to get that extra 5mm!

The last washing machine I did this way was is in a cupboard on it's own. Standard washing machines don't have a plinth cut out which pushes tham out even further if you maintain the correct inset for the plinth to match the rest of the kitchen. I was OK as I had a breakfast bar to cut down but I don't think even a 670 would have been big enough in this instance. I can't remember the exact measurements but I do remember that it surprised me at the time how deep the worktop ended up.

If the depth is Ok push the washer in place and then fit the hinges.
It will mean that you would have to remove the sole plate of the hinge to get it out.

Why dont you just advertise your washing machine in your local paper and buy and int/ w/m
it really would be more cost effective and stress free.
