Like Claydon said, Symphony are generally cheap and cheerful builder's fodder. Having said that, whilst they are best known for supplying big developments, I think they do a slightly more premium retail range. I'm not certain though.
I'm sure there will be better out there. I sell Masterclass Kitchens, they're a good quality british kitchen - check out www.masterclasskitchens.co.uk.
Although, as others have said above, good design and installation is far more important than what brand it is or where it is made. Find a small independent kitchen showroom you are comfortable with, and the brand will be almost irrelevant.
