Time consuming tasks

Hello KFF - My uncle is a kitchen fitter and we have recently been discussing the time consuming paper based tasks he needs to do.

I would love to hear your problems to see if they are similar to his. I like to tinker with building software and I'd like to see if I could help in someway. Is there any software that you have been looking for but haven't found?
