Integrated dishwasher door / gap problem

What about a Stainless Steel Door frontal?
I think if it's not a good match then make it a contrast.
Also it may be an option to go for a drawerline Dishwasher as J handle doors can make it awkward to open sometimes...

As for the gap...maybe need to check that the opening is square top and bottom and at the wall...could you adjust the adjacent units to close up the gap?

Dishwashers usually have seals down the vertical sides also, so the gap really needs to be 600mm...
