Even if there is no moulding along the top, it will still look far better than anything you could do between the bottom of the Tambour unit and the 30mm worktop........Silicone..!....sorry Steve..but YUK..!!!!!!!
Not a bad idea if you have some edging to match the door. I havent had any edging on my job in ages. Have you?
If it were my fit id probably discuss with customer and play about with it and do what looks best maybe 5mm at top and 5 mm at bottom. With the larder doors either side of tambour units being 3mm below cornice this wouldnt be a bad solution.
If it was my supply and fit the problem would get dealt with when ordering the unit
