You are a champion. I didn't have the time on Friday to say thank you.
The salesmen in both B&Q and Homebase said it was cheaper to buy a new carcase, it was like looking at serious depression as I couldn't at that stage think of an other supplier in the market. Wicks just went off the radar and defeat loomed inside me, until I realised there must be a kitchen forum where people will share their knowledge.
I am now back to normal and feeling confident and back in control which is where we should be as individuals of this beautiful planet.
