Ahhh really? Sorry I didn't know Crown were that bad for it . I've had plenty of other brand units where they have been drilled 1-2mm deeper than required, but not enough that it effects the cam not finding its own position when you knock them together.
Those sort of details would pee me off too, surely that is simply sorted by somebody programming the cnc machine to drill 14mm not 15mm.
I suppose a question for the Crown fitters, do you ever go back and highlight these niggling issues? I know it's not a deal breaker by any means and after you've done a few you just develop a knack with these things. But still? I'd offer it as feedback if it was a product I used a lot.
