I use a 3000 rail and it has space to place the TS55 & TS75 on the rail, plunge then cut. I would have thought the 2700 may be tight for length.....????

The 2700 is long enough, just, with the TS55. I don't have a 75, and don't see any reason to get one.
The reason I went with the 2700 is that that's the maximum length I can manage in the workshop; if I put it between the ceiling joists I can stand that length up against the wall, and I can spin it round when required without hitting anything. I wouldn't be able to do the same with a 3000. Even with 2x 1400's joined it was a pain.
Today has been a real eye opener - it's so much easier with a long rail than trying to manage with a shorter one, or joining two. More so than I expected - I've already forgotten how much it cost me!
