I've got the bigger CT26 and I wish I had gone for the Midi. It's too big for site work and gets really heavy as the bags fill up. You won't want to be carrying it upstairs very often and you will be cutting indoors once you buy a TS55.
I'm with PJ on the corded vs cordless debate. However if you did that you wouldn't have a dust extractor which will be the most useful tool you own once you hook it up to your existing tools. So I would start with corded and an extractor and maybe get the cordless once you have fully caught the Festool bug. Currently it is still classified as no known cure. Be fully aware and forewarned, it is a disease!
Also be prepared for the hose garage falling apart on your extractor, it's a well known problem as the plastic is rubbish and too brittle.
