Does the stainless steel worktop on the breakfast bar get fabricated off site in one piece or do you do it on site. Hows it work??
Also really like the wine coolers. Never seen them before. The doors look a little out but that could just be the picture. Do they fit in a 600mm single oven unit with a drawer at the bottom. Take it you had to cut the fillers at the top if one isnt right. How did you hide the cut. Just by butting it upto the underside of the worktop? Shame the handle couldnt carry along but you can only work with what your suppliers can supply
Yeah all the stainless steel is fabricated off site, I used a commercial kitchen fabricator to make them for me. Was originally going to be Zinc but changed at the 11th hour, think it works well and in hindsight is maybe a better choice considering how the design progressed during the fit.
You're right, the left hand wine door is out in the pictures but only because the door wasn't fully shut (it rides up on a little roller which makes the 2 doors flush)
The units are as you thought a standard oven base with drawer under, It comes with a 100mm filler to cut down to size (in this case 77mm) which we then touch up the cut edge with a colour matched paint. The 'sharp edge points down rather than up so the lack of aris is less visable. Although I cocked up the left hand filler as they are mitre fixed in place and I put the glue on the wrong side So have to replace.
I've just found out TKC are doing made to measure sizes, so may well order some small drawer fronts as a filler so the line carries through as you suggest. Wasn't going to but seeing as i've got the added expense I might as well do

We all take pride in the work that we do, BUT..........when I see pictures like that, I think it just sets the bar a bit higher and gives most of us something to aim for.
Well done mate! Excellent work
Snezza.
Cheers mate
Just glad I didn't take any close up shots where I hacked to death all the end panels and plinths to make the bar area. These long distance shots makes my work look acceptable
