How did you leave it with the customer regarding the hob? Did you get it in writing that it was fitted at there request? As its an induction I suppose there won't be much of a issue with burning the side panel but maybe a casserole pot. The only reason I ask is we all get asked to do these thing but I just wondered how ppl cover themselves.
Anyway great looking kitchen
Cheers PJ, the job was always going to be function over design. The practicalities of getting all the required appliances in a relatively small space was always going to compromise the design to a degree.
The angled wall units in the office and the kitchen were made on site with my TS75. It got me to thinking about a TS55, as its quite a bit lighter,as you know.
I knew the hob position would be an issue with you guys
But, as you can see from the pictures and layout, needs must. The hob is a FLEX induction, with rectangular cooking zones and as there is no heat dissipation around the sides of any cooking pots, I was assured by Seimens that it woudnt be a problem. I think they stipulate a minimum of 50mm from the hob to a vertical combustible surface with induction. It just looks a bit "Squeezed"
As I said earlier, I would have fitted the hob in the island, but there were problems with fitting an Island hood in the ceiling (Steel Beams) and as the floor was part of the structure of the building, we couldnt cut into it to fit the ducting for a downdraft.
Snezza.
