on mitre saws, the dewalt 717xps is a better saw £ 4 £ imo
you will get as good a cut with the right blade, a better line with the xps than the kapex laser, bigger upright cut on the dewalt but not as good on the extraction
then it comes down to how long they last, both models came out only a few years ago but my dewalt has had heavy use for about 3 years and has not had a problem, if it lasts 6 i will be happy and ready for the newer technology by then
