If you can afford the first, then you can afford the latter!
Seriously, what are you looking to achieve? Let's say you can find an online supplier that will sell you the door for half price, at £70. Then it'll cost you £10 minimum for postage, 'cos a door isn't something that you can just pop in an envelope. Then you've got to find someone to fit it. Good luck with finding a fitter that will come out to fit one door in a kitchen that they didn't fit for less than £50.
So assuming you can do all that, you're up a tenner. Woo-hoo. The houses at the Barratt development in Bathgate start at £350k, so that £10 you saved is a drop in the ocean. Come to think of it, the £139 door is a mere drop too...

I can see I have obviously touched a nerve, however I am not one of the lucky ones that you seem to think I am (if only). If its any consolation I am moving into one of the town houses (along with my fiance), which values at a modest £170,000 compared to mansions that you mention. It has been a struggle for myself and my fiance to afford such a buy, and we are on a very tight budget and will save money where & when we can.
As stated I am not in the business of kitchens and only posted on this forum in order to see if I could save a tenner or 2, as you put it, if I could. Thankfully, I have a Father in law that is more than capable of fitting a kitchen, which he has demonstrated in my present home, so fitting thankfully isn't a problem.
I can also see from a morning on the web that I am not the only one that is trying to find Moore door/units at a reduced price instead of conforming to the monopoly they obviously have or are trying to gain. It is some times better to get the correct information before comming to a decision, which is what I am trying to do.
