Handle-less kitchen in Graphite

To try to kick start a bit of activity on the forum, I thought i'd post some recent jobs we've completed.

This is actually my own house, it's a new build we completed a year ago.  Masterclass H-Line Larna (grained slab) in Graphite, with mainly my own ex-display appliances!  Silestone White Storm tops.

The house was largely designed around the kitchen, so it was nice for example to run the tops into the window cills, whilst the bulkhead around the tall units hides the soil and vent pipe from upstairs. 

Also, i've always been a bit sceptical about the downdraft hobs, even though we've sold loads of them - but I have to say the Elica version fitted here works brilliantly.

Having the extra depth of worktop behind the Sink area is always impressive if you can do it

Yep we run the worktop into the cills quite a bit now, makes the worktop seem huge and is a nice feature.

I like the trebble sink, does the tap reach the outer sinks ok ?

Also why did you handle the fridge and freezer like that ? I would have been inclined to have the fridge on the left and the freezer on the right with them opening central to each other.

Treble sink - yes the tap does reach, but only just - in hindsight a flexible tap would have been beneficial.  The idea of the triple sink was that we're messy, and rather than having a drainer with a pile of dishes visible, they sit in the right hand sink out of sight!

The handings on the fridge and freezer are because you are almost always accessing these from the kitchen area, to the right on that photo - to hinge one the other way, you'd have to almost walk around the right-hand opening door to get into it.  If it was a handled kitchen, then I would have certainly handed it like you suggest as the handles would look odd otherwise.

I should add - the whole kitchen was designed to be as compact as possible - although it's a decent sized area, I needed to keep enough space for my pool/dining table - which I still haven't bought

Love the drinks tower with the mirror, nice touch.  And the sink area looks so much better into the window.

Pool table, never going to happen,  i had that idea for my kitchen, diner. The Ayatollah was having none of it,  so i had to put it outside under my gazebo.

The Elica takes up most of the top drawer, although you can still use it as a cutlery drawer.  The bottom drawer can be used completely as normal.  I love this type of extractor as they're a really efficient use of space, and dead easy to fit/plan in.

Drinks cabinet - we've got one in the showroom, it's a good talking point and we sell quite a few as a result.

Pool table - the mrs was initially all up for it, but now thinks it'll be a novelty that we'll never end up using - do you still use your outside one much?  I suppose we could have an outside one, i've seen these advertised and they look good - do they stand up to the elements well?
