Fitter Needed in Surbiton (KT6)

Hi,

We've just completed on a new house which has a damp problem at the rear, we were hoping to remove and replace the existing kitchen, unfortunately after removal it's clear that they should be replaced. I'm looking for a fitter who works in the Surbiton area who can supply and fit the new Kitchen plus tile the floor. The damp specialists should finish on Thursday and we need to allow 5-7 days for the new plaster work to dry, so asap after then would be good as we move in on the 14th! (i.e: about 21st August start would be perfect) - I've attached some photos of the old Kitchen for reference.

EDIT: Actually, we don't have to wait for the plaster to dry to tile the floor, if anyone's available next week to start that part.

Is there anyone on this forum who is available?

That's 2 weeks away!!!! Not wanting to piss anyone off here but that's leaving it short. Did you not think of booking the kitchen fitters when you booked the damp proof guys. Most fitters work at least 2 months in advance. 

You're very lucky Chippy has made an enquiry as he's a great fitter. You won't go wrong with him.

Hi Chippy,

As PJK says, it's 2 weeks away! The original plan was to refit the old kitchen units which I was going to do myself (with a bit off assistance), it was only when we removed the old units and saw their condition that we came to our senses, hence the last minute panic... on the bright side it has led me to this forum. 

We don't really have much time to re-plan the whole kitchen and we're hoping to extend at some (distant) point in the future which would have a change of kitchen again. So we're looking to replace the old layout but with new units/worktops. Having said that, there will need to be some adjustments to the layout:

1) Tiling the floor as mentioned previously (it's currently lino).

2) My wife has already bought a new cooker (FLAVEL Milano 100) which is larger than the original (1m wide) so me may have to lose the small unit to the right of the oven and possibly the small one to the left as well, the cooker arrives on the 20th. Washing machine & dishwasher arrive this week. We'll swap out the extractor as well to match the width.

3) The sink in the utility room has already been removed along with the tiles etc and is being re-plastered, a dishwasher and washing machine will go there so we will probably want a worktop over the top of both.

4) The cupboards/worktop on the chimney breast as shown in the second photo could probably do with a swap out as well to match the ones in photo 1.

5) The fridge will be replaced with an American style one, so the worktop in 4 would be shorter to accommodate.

Hi Guys,

I ended up DIYing the install which so far is going fine, apart from not having enough time to finish it! Unfortunately the hole for the hob extractor is a bit too low though and the Mrs is a bit worried about me drilling a ~125mm hole through our exterior wall. I don't suppose anyone on here near Surbiton would have the time to drill/fill the extractor holes any time soon? For info, it's 9" solid brick wall on the ground floor.
