Not to sure Snezza? the oven only turned up this afternoon as the client had sent a single oven back as they had decided to go with a double oven so I just built the housing up to suit a 900mm double oven, they did not send the replacement door to go with the new oven, I think i'l either have to put a down stand in under the support shelf Or remove the shelf and fix it in lower on kd blocks/bearer

It looks as though you're going to need an infill panel above the oven, or as you say, lower the shelf to give you an 880mm space.

Yeah it's going to be a nice skinny wedge of cornice was going to cut it on the table saw with a mitre gauge but not quite sure how to achieve it with the curved cornice, may have to just cut it by hand with a fine handsaw.

Yeah Snezza I could put an infill in but it would only be about 12mm as there's only about 29mm from the top of the shelf to the top of the oven so might look a bit naff but that might be the only option depending on what the height of the new door is, that's why I have just left it as is until they send the door out. In the build instructions there was only an option for an 800mm or 900mm oven space and on the website it said the oven was 888mm so built it to the 900mm opening.

Oh Ive only just read that so to make things worse theres a curved unit going in. If it was straight then table saw would be fine maybe an electric planer would help just keep trimming until its snug

I have a small band saw I could put in the van that might be the way to go with the curved piece

Been a while since I been on the forum but seen this pic and reminded me I hadnt posted it up, it's the tapered radius cornice, I cut the initial angle with a fine Toothed Japanese pull saw then tweeked the fit with a low angle block plane.
