Could you have extended the step out flush to the back of the sink worktop abd ran in an angled ingo?

nice job,agree on the hob thouh if there an call out on warrenty it will be deemed fitted in correctly as it needs a min 50mm to the cut out from the wall it may be ok wih corgi but the manufactures spec supersedes all...

Thanks. Not really sure what ppl are seeing from the pics but the worktop is 600mm deep at it's least depth hob cut out is 60mm from the front then 490mm. This leaves 50mm to the wall from the cutout. This was planned this way.

I always start my hob cut outs 45mm from the front these days,gives plenty clearance at the back and leaves enough to get the hob clipped down
I prefer the wide drawer option these days too,usually a 900
