The last one I had to do was on a white gloss kitchen. The Tambour unit was in a St/Steel finish so I just used a 600mm wide section of gloss white plinth, cut it down to 10mm in height and re-edged it in gloss white tape. It looked fine when it was fitted.

Assuming there is a tall end panel on the larder unit, take the panel right down to the floor, fit the larder units 5 or 6mm lower than the run of base units, then you will only need a 4 or 5mm bead of silicone or a 2mm bead top and bottom if you split the difference..... Just clutching at straws as I am unfamiliar with tambour mechanisms and it sounds as though the tambour unit is already on site and can't be made 10mm bigger, unless there is any spare material to make new gable ends for the unit so you can make the unit 10mm bigger?

What about some 10mm granite to fit under the base of the unit. It could either be flush with the unit or possibly protrude slightly to create an "effect".....

I would follow Snezza's route.


An alternative:-

Presumming the tambour is of an alluminium finish and also that both ends are covered work out some way of using an alluminium strip to go along both units in one piece.
This could be an " L" angle or a square piece to go under the cabs.

Dropping adjacent cabinets = deff not.
Silicone bead ..............nope.

You say you have no matching material, slice a fin off of a base unit or off of the back of the tall unit if it is being covered with an end panel !
